Time for Change...menopause....ageless goddesses!
Are you are having hot flushes? Waking up in the night and feel like you have been soaked in a bucket of cold water? Wake at 3am and cant get back to sleep?...Feel like your brain as been put in a blender?.......I could go on, even mentioning the itchy toes when you get out of the shower. If so perhaps you are going through the change. If you can relate to any of the above and feel that you have come to the end of your tether and feel that it is time to STOP and RE-EVALUATE then you should read this book it is by Dr Christiane Northrup "Goddesses never age!" I am loving it, I feel that the universe has lead me to it, she has hit the nail on the head in so many ways and has given me an inner calm. Apparently I have been told I am post menopausal, but think I am peri menopausal, which is really weird as I am sure my birth certificate is wrong 50 next year....no! I have had all of the above symptoms plus much more, I have adapted my diet, lifestyle and well exercise I just keep on going with the prescription that I have learnt along my 23 years in the industry. I have reached a point in my life and thought "you know what, I have been and I am a great mum and wife and now its time for me and putting my needs first" I wanted to change how I lived my life. With no detriment to my family, I am not running off into the sunset on my own (I do love my family but it has crossed my mind!)....I am just doing things differently and it feels great! Luckily I am also surrounded by like minded friends and clients who have wanted to say like myself, "hang on, enough is enough". I then came across Christiane's book and was blown away with her opening chapters on how the "change" is exactly what is happening. I do feel as if I have come out the other side and my goodness what a relief! Slowly the taboo of this subject is being lifted and people are talking about it. I also read a great article from the fashion guru Caryn Franklin http://www.refinery29.uk/menopause-help-symptoms-tips-counselling-memory Who has also read the same book as me! We need to embrace this time of our lives and look forward to the future of no periods, level heads and renewed energy! http://www.fitnessforeverybody.co.uk/#!stay-young/c1rqv
