O my what a few weeks! We hope you survived the snow and then the thaw, some parts of London were without water for up to 4 days!
Luckily the studio was not affected and some of our clients that were affected actually upped their workouts so they could use our shower, that is dedication!
With spring trying desperately to show us it is here, now is the time to start getting your body ready for summer for the great unveil! It will be here before you know it!
Here are some tips to get you started;
Always eat breakfast – even if it is just a piece of fruit and a handful of nuts, otherwise your body will hold onto its fats stores as it will think it is fasting “break – fast”.
Eat protein with every meal – protein will keep you fuller for longer, try and go for natural protein as much as you can; lentils, legumes, nuts, seeds and lots of other alternatives which will be kinder to your digestion and health.
Eat complex carbs; swap white for brown and if you are trying to lose weight then eat low carb, eat just 1 complex carb meal per day and have that before 4pm.
Drink plenty of water – Our body can sometimes confuse dehydration with hunger – if you have recently eaten and feel hungry drink some water and see how you feel. Also keeping hydrated , it will help with your energy levels.
Move more! If you do not have time to go to the gym then see how you can up your activity levels and become breathless in other ways – ditch the lift, take the stairs, do not stand on the escalator walk up. Give yourself more time in your day so you can walk to a further bus/tube/train stop, every so often take your walk into a jog this way over the week you will burn more calories. Make it easy for yourself!
